Police seek ID of Swissvale sex assault suspect
Allegheny County and Swissvale police are seeking assistance with identifying on man suspected of sexually assaulting a woman on a Swissvale sidewalk in broad daylight, county police said.
The suspect is accused of assaulting the woman at about 6:10 p.m. Aug. 4, near the intersection of Monongahela and Duquesne avenues, county police said. The man had attempted several times to talk to the woman along Monongahela Avenue, near Church Street.
County detectives obtained security footage of the suspect.
Anyone with information about the assault or the identity of this man, is asked to call the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS, also 833-255-847. Callers can remain anonymous. The department can also be reached via its social media sites.
