A Scott man is accused of luring two young boys into his home and locking them inside, according to a criminal complaint.

Sean Conboy, 34, is facing two counts of unlawful restraint of a minor and two counts of false imprisonment after police said he locked 6- and 7-year-old children in his Elmbrook Lane home Friday evening.

The children went outside to play around 5 p.m. Friday, according to the criminal complaint. While they were outside, police said Conboy invited them into his house to watch YouTube videos.

The boys told police that Conboy picked them up and locked them in his house. They told officers that they drank tea with Conboy.

They also said that he picked one of them and put him outside. The one outside then began to scream for the other one still locked in the house. The boy still in the home told police that he hid until Conboy left that part of the house, after which time he was able to unlock the door and run outside.

They told police they were locked inside the house for 10 to 15 minutes.

The boys’ mother told police Conboy had moved in recently. About 10 or 15 minutes after her children returned home, she said, he drove by their house very slowly in a white Kia before speeding off.

A preliminary trial is scheduled for Oct. 6.
