Pittsburgh police said no one was reported injured when a Hill District business owner traded gunshots with three people during an attempted robbery Tuesday night.

Police were called to the 2300 block of Webster Avenue just before 7:30 p.m. for a reported robbery.

Three suspects entered the store and tried to rob the business, police said. According to a report, they exchanged gunfire with the business owner before fleeing in an unknown direction.

The report said the suspects were armed with handguns and described as wearing hooded sweatshirts and dark-colored pants.

An investigation is ongoing.
