Police: Man stable after being shot twice in Downtown Pittsburgh

A man was in stable condition Saturday after being shot in Downtown Pittsburgh.

City police were alerted about 11:15 a.m. to a reported shooting on Fort Duquesne Boulevard, between the Seventh and Ninth street bridges.

Officers found the male victim in the 100 block of Seventh Street. He had been shot twice but was alert, police said.

Medics took him to a local hospital, where he was in stable condition, police said. An investigation is continuing.
