Pittsburgh police say they only located a vehicle struck by bullets after responding to a report of gunfire in Homewood early Tuesday evening.

Officers responded to the 7000 block of Frankstown Avenue near Homewood Avenue shortly before 5:30 p.m. for a ShotSpotter alert, according to police.

Police found evidence of gunfire, but no victims. No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing, according to public information officer Maurice Matthews.

Officers responded to the same block less than 24 hours earlier on Monday night, where they found a man who’d been shot in the leg.

The man was in stable condition as of Tuesday morning, police said.
