A Pittsburgh man was arrested Tuesday and accused of fatally shooting a man last Saturday in the city’s East Hills neighborhood, police said.

The suspect, Trevon Taylor, 20, was arrested in connection with the death of Allen Jarrone Stevens in the 2300 block of East Hills Drive, police said. A Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson said Taylor was captured without incident.

Stevens was shot in the chest shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday. Police said detectives in the area rendered first aid until medics could transport him to a hospital, where he later died. A gun was recovered at the scene.

Taylor faces charges of criminal homicide and three counts of recklessly endangering another person. Additional details were not available Tuesday night.

They said Taylor’s apprehension was made by the Pittsburgh Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit and violent crime unit detectives, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force.
