Kevin McClintock, 52, of Allentown, is accused in a road rage shooting on Banksville Road that injured two people.

A Pittsburgh man accused of shooting at two people during an alleged road rage incident on Banksville Road was arrested Saturday morning after a two-hour standoff on Saw Mill Run Boulevard, according to police.

Kevin McClintock, 52, of the city’s Allentown neighborhood, was to be arraigned on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and a weapons offense in connection with the Friday afternoon shooting. Two people were hurt.

Pittsburgh Police said they issued an arrest warrant for McClintock later in the day and SWAT members negotiated his surrender Saturday morning.

The shooting happened about 12:15 p.m. on Banksville Road near the Eat’n Park and Days Inn. Police believe McClintock was driving a silver pickup truck that ran the victims’ car off the road and opened fire.

A witness told reporters that the pickup truck driver kept pushing and hitting the other vehicle. The driver eventually got out of the truck and jumped on to the other car when three loud pops rang out.

The witness snapped a photo of the truck and its license plate before the driver took off.

Police said a man was shot in the face and a woman suffered a back injury and a possible graze wound. Both were hospitalized in stable condition.

The witness helped a child that was in the backseat.

A second set of unrelated charges were filed against McClintock on Friday. He is accused of attempted theft and criminal mischief by Pittsburgh police for a Thursday incident, according to online court records. He did not have an attorney listed in either case.
