Two Pittsburgh police motorcycle officers who were part of the security detail for Vice President Mike Pence’s Thursday visit to Greensburg were hurt in a crash on Route 837 in White Oak, Pittsburgh Public Safety spokeswoman Cara Cruz said.

The officers are with the Special Deployment Division and were part of Pence’s motorcade when they crashed just before 11:40 a.m., Cruz said. Details about the crash weren’t released.

Pence stopped to tend to the officers personally, Cruz said.

“Pittsburgh Public Safety would like to thank Vice President Pence and members of the U.S. Secret Service for the concern and attention they showed the two injured officers,” she said.
