Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying a man suspected of striking a police horse during a protest in Pittsburgh.

The Damage Assessment and Accountability Taskforce said they believe the man struck and pushed a horse from the Pittsburgh Police Mounted Unit during a demonstration that took place Downtown on May 30. The task force is comprised of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.

Authorities released two images of the man. His face is partially obscured in the photos by a mask.

Authorities recently released images of another man suspected of assault. This man also is suspected of damaging a police vehicle in Pittsburgh.

Authorities urge anyone with information to contact the task force at DAAT@Pittsburghpa.gov or 412-323-7800. Anyone with information can remain anonymous.
