A man is in stable condition after he was shot multiple times early Friday in Pittsburgh’s Knoxville section, Pittsburgh police said.

Police responded to a Shotspotter alert at about 1 a.m. in the 300 block of Moore Avenue. They said a 911 call also was made around that time for someone who had been shot in the area.

Officers said they found a male victim who ran inside his home after the incident. He had gunshot wounds to the back and arm, Public Safety Spokeswoman Cara Cruz said.

He was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

Police continue to investigate.
