A man from Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood is accused of cutting another man’s face with a knife during an argument over $2.
Gary Bennett, 53, is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Tuesday on aggravated and simple assault charges in connection to the April 1 fight.
A phone message left for his attorney Monday morning wasn’t immediately returned.
A 58-year-old man told police he argued with Bennett over $2 inside a store at Frankstown Avenue and North Homewood Avenue, according to a police report.
As the argument intensified, a store clerk pulled a gun and demanded that both men leave the store, the police report said. Once outside, Bennett pulled a knife and swung it at the other man, cutting his face, police said.
Officers found Bennett at his residence and arrested him without further incident, police said.
