A man wanted by police turned himself in early Wednesday in connection with a fatal shooting earlier this month in Wilkinsburg that police said might have been spurred by jealousy.
Alonzo Terrel Glen, 27, is charged with homicide in connection with the June 11 death of 49-year-old Marion White.
A witness told police she’d been hanging out with Glen, who she knew only as “Country,” at the home she shared with White on Laketon Road, according to a criminal complaint.
She told police they’d been drinking and planned on smoking marijuana when White arrived home, according to the complaint. The witness said White was angry that about the situation, specifically that it was after 2 a.m., that the two were going to smoke together, and that her lipstick was removed.
Glen and White argued, the witness told police. White eventually went upstairs and came back with a sword, according to the complaint. The witness said she was trying to get White to go back upstairs when Glen moved around her and shot White as he tried to retreat upstairs.
The witness said she heard three or four shots in all, then Glen fled the home, police said. First responders arrived at the home about 3:30 a.m., authorities said, and White was pronounced dead less than an hour later.
The witness identified Glen as the man who shot White after she was shown a photo of him, police said.
Glen surrendered to police about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to Allegheny County police detectives. He remains in the Allegheny County Jail, held without bail.
