A McKees Rocks man was behind bars Monday in connection to the fatal shooting of another man in Stowe Township.

Tomichael Sherrell, 18, turned himself into Allegheny County Police detectives on Saturday, according to authorities.

He is charged with homicide, robbery and weapons violations in the death of Bradley Lucier, 23, of McKees Rocks.

Allegheny County detectives said Sherrell fired a gunshot while trying to rob Lucier inside a Dohrman Street home just before 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Lucier died at a hospital from a gunshot wound to the neck, police said.

Sherrell was denied bond because of the homicide charge. He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail, and is set to appear for a preliminary hearing on April 26.
