A 27-year-man died after he was shot Sunday morning in Wilkinsburg, according to Allegheny County Police.

Police said the man was shot inside his vehicle at the intersection of Ardmore Boulevard and Marlboro Avenue shortly before 11:30 a.m. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

Witnesses told investigators that two vehicles were side-by-side at the intersection when the shooting occurred. Detectives said they are looking for a greenish-silver midsize sedan with either temporary or out of state plates that was seen fleeing the area on Marlboro Avenue.

Anyone with information concerning the shooting is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
