Pittsburgh police respond to Brighton Heights shooting

Pittsburgh Police are investigating a shooting in the city’s Brighton Heights neighborhood.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert for multiple shots fired in the area of Brighton Road near Lecky Avenue just before 7:30 p.m., according to public information officer Cara Cruz.

Cruz said shortly afterward, a male victim arrive at the hospital by private means with gunshot wounds to his lower body. He was listed in stable condition Tuesday night, according to police.

Major crimes detectives and the crime scene unit are working the scene and reviewing any surveillance footage.
