An overheight truck caused traffic backups on the Fort Pitt Bridge outbound Friday morning, according to PennDOT.

The truck became stuck on the westbound lower deck of the bridge approaching the tunnels, officials said at 5 a.m. One lane was closed until just before 8 a.m., according to a traffic map.

Crews freed the truck and inspected the structure.
