Rolling lane closures on the northbound Parkway North are scheduled for Wednesday.
PennDOT said the lane closures will occur as needed between I-579 and the Suffolk Street Bridge from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Crews will be making preparations for upcoming paving in the area.
An average of 35,000 vehicles a day use the section of highway, according to PennDOT spokesman Steve Cowan.
