In celebration of the Allegheny Regional Asset District’s 25th year and the significant support it has provided the National Aviary through the years the aviary announced Friday that on the 25th day of each month starting in February it will offer special activities, prizes or discounts for visitors.

Cheers to 25 years!

In celebration of the Allegheny Regional Asset District’s 25th year and the significant support it has provided the National Aviary through the years, the aviary announced Friday that on the 25th day of each month it will offer special activities, prizes or discounts for visitors.

To kick off the year-long celebration, on Feb. 25, the aviary will offer 25 percent off general admission. The National Aviary, located on Pittsburgh’s North Side, is America’s only independent indoor nonprofit zoo dedicated to birds.

“We truly would not be where we are today if not for the support RAD has provided to the National Aviary through the years,” said Cheryl Tracy, National Aviary executive director. “They have provided funding for critical projects on an ongoing basis. The services we are able to provide to the community are available because of RAD, and our upcoming celebrations show our thanks to the community and to RAD for all they do to help cultural assets like us thrive.”

Each month’s activity will be announced via the aviary’s webpage.
