Multi-car crash on Parkway East sends 1 to hospital

One person was transported by ambulance from the scene of a five-car crash on the Parkway East near the Bates Street exit on Sunday afternoon.

The crash, in the eastbound lanes near mile marker 72, was reported around 11:30 a.m., according to Allegheny County 911 officials.

Eastbound traffic on the city side of the Squirrel Hill Tunnels was experiencing residual delays, according to PennDOT’s live traffic-camera feed.
