Automobile owners are being reminded to move their vehicles to make way for milling and resurfacing of Pittsburgh streets on Monday.
The list of impacted streets is available here. New streets on the list are in City Council Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9.
With more than the usual number of residents staying indoors and sheltering in place, the city says it’s making an extra effort to notify residents to move their vehicles to enable street resurfacing to proceed.
Residents who have registered to receive phone alerts from the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority will receive robocalls if their street is to be paved the following week. Paving crews will be placing fliers on vehicle windshields 48 hours in advance, according to the City.
This year the city says it’s investing nearly $15.7 million in the street resurfacing program, including asphalt street resurfacing, curb ramp upgrades, and repair of concrete, brick and block stone streets throughout Pittsburgh.
