Pittsburgh police are investigating after a man’s body was found Thursday morning on the city’s South Side.

Investigators responded around 8 a.m. to South Seventh Street above East Carson, said Public Safety spokesman Chris Togneri.

Police found the man near a fence by the train tracks, he said. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Togneri said the death does not appear to have been recent.
