A West Mifflin man was shot and killed by three assailants in McKeesport late Monday, according to Allegheny County Police.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as George Brosey, 54.

The shooting at the 47 building of Crawford Village was reported to 911 just before 11:30 p.m.

Police and paramedics found Brosey had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Police said surveillance video showed Brosey walking up to the stoop of an acquaintance’s apartment when a man approached from between buildings 47 and 48 and shot him. Two other men were standing on Pirl Street about 200 feet away and fired multiple times in Brosey’s direction.

Police said it was not clear why Brosey was targeted.

Anyone with information is asked to call the county police tip line at 833-255-8477. Callers can remain anonymous.
