A police chase through several Pittsburgh neighborhoods early Thursday ended with a man being charged with child abduction, WPXI reported.

Jake Howard is accused of taking his 4-month-old baby boy from a home along Pritchard Street in Sheraden.

Police responded when the baby’s mother reported the incident just after midnight. Officers spotted Howard’s vehicle and attempted to make a traffic stop.

Howard sped off, initiating a police chase that reached speeds of 90 mph through several neighborhoods. The pursuit ended along Taft and Boggston avenues in Pittsburgh’s Beltzhoover neighborhood, when Howard eventually pulled over.

Police found the baby buckled in a car seat.

Howard faces abduction and DUI charges, WPXI reported.
