Inspection of the Fort Duquesne Bridge in Pittsburgh will cause lane restrictions from Tuesday through Friday, weather permitting, according to PennDOT.

On the southbound lower deck, lane restrictions will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day Tuesday through Friday.

On the northbound upper deck, lane restrictions will occur during the same hours on Friday.

Nearly 36,000 vehicles a day cross the Fort Duquesne Bridge going inbound (southbound), while more than 37,000 cross the bridge outbound (northbound), according to PennDOT.

PennDOT said motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns and use caution when driving through the area.
