Pittsburgh is offering discounted tickets for the Jurassic World Live Tour show at PPG Paints Arena this month and Mayor Bill Peduto joined show staff for an announcement Thursday at Westwood Elementary, where students got to meet Olive the Baby Stegosaurus.

Kids were a little wary when Olive — actually two performers inside an authentic-looking dinosaur costume — roared, but most of them enjoyed patting her.

“We have discounted rates for kids in the city of Pittsburgh to be able to take advantage of this and to be able to see it,” Peduto said. “We’ve done it before with different ice shows and everything. It’s sort of a partnership that the city and the school have on an annual basis.”

Tickets are $30, but the city will distribute them for $10 at community events, schools and at the Mayor’s Office.

The Jurassic World Live Tour runs from Oct. 24 through Oct. 27 at PPG Paints Arena and features 21 dinosaurs and seven different species, according to show staff.
