Car crashes into McKeesport creek, crews work to rescue 2 trapped inside
Two women were rescued after their car crashed over a hillside into a creek 30 feet below in McKeesport Tuesday night, Trib news partner WPXI reports.
Allegheny County officials reported a two-vehicle crash on Long Run Road near Walnut Street about 5:30 p.m.
The driver lost control and jumped the curb and several stone barriers.
Fire crews from McKeesport and the surrounding areas used a ladder truck like a crane to hoist a stretcher up to the road, WPXI reported.
Both women were rescued within about an hour. They were taken to a local hospital, where they are in critical condition, according to WPXI.

County officials said rescue efforts did not require any road closures.
