Aramark was frank in its promise to avoid another bun-less hot dog night at Friday’s Pirates game.

A repeat of Wednesday’s Buc Night fiasco would be the wurst.

The PNC Park concession provider promised to do better in a meaty response.

“Last (Wednesday) night, our team was prepared, but unfortunately we experienced an uncharacteristic lag in restocking some stands during the game,” the company said after fans took to social media to beef about the bun shortage. “We apologize to those fans who experienced a delay and will be adjusting our operations for future Dollar Dog Nights.”

There’s a chance for redemption at Friday night’s home game against the Cincinnati Reds. Select concession stands will offer hot dogs for $1. It’s a deal to relish.

“We can assure the fans that we have made the necessary adjustment to have stands stocked with the needed product and supplies,” Aramark said in a follow-up statement Friday. “We very much look forward to tonight, and the eight additional Dollar Dog Nights this season at PNC Park.”
