Just when many people thought the worst of the coronavirus pandemic had passed, covid-19 cases are on the rise again in southwestern Pennsylvania. On Tuesday, Allegheny County reported its highest number of daily cases — 109 — including seven hospitalizations.

The numbers are a concern for health care professionals like Lindsey Junstrom, who works as a respiratory therapist at Allegheny Health Network’s Jefferson Hospital. Junstrom, 24, has been an instrumental figure throughout the coronavirus pandemic, taking care of patients on ventilators and helping them navigate through their recovery journey.

In a video interview with the Trib, she joins us for the latest edition of “Answering the Call.”
