Allegheny County reports 77 new coronavirus cases, 1 new death

Allegheny County on Saturday recorded 77 new coronavirus cases and one additional death.

The county now has a total of 9,359 cases of covid-19 and 284 deaths.

All of Saturday’s cases have been confirmed.

Officials also reported 11 new hospitalizations, bringing that total to 777 since the virus was first reported in Allegheny County.

The recent batch of samples comprising 1,321 tests were collected between Aug. 10 and Aug. 14. They yielded a positivity rate of 5.8%.
