Allegheny County health officials reported 16 additional cases of the coronavirus Friday, bringing the total case count to 2,138 since the first in the county was reported March 14.
The 2,138 cases include 2,000 confirmed and 138 probable cases. The county reported no new cases Wednesday and nine new cases Thursday.
The county reported no additional hospitalizations or deaths Friday. The death toll remained at 177 — 165 confirmed and 12 probable. To date, 361 people have been hospitalized with covid-19.
The state health department reported Allegheny County’s death toll was at 178. County officials in the past have said that differences in reporting systems can account for the difference in death totals.

Pennsylvania’s case count eclipsed 80,000 on Thursday, when the Department of Health reported an increase of 418 cases, bringing the statewide total to 80,236. There have been 6,361 deaths in Pennsylvania.

• 0-4: 16
• 5-12: – 23
• 13-18: 36
• 19-24: 144
• 25-49: 718
• 50-64: 552
• 65 and over: 649
