Prehistoric times

Dinosaurs seem to come to life in “Jurassic World Live Tour” this Friday, Saturday and Sunday at PPG Paints Arena, Uptown. See more than 24 gigantic animatronic and performer-operated dinosaurs.

Laugh out loud

Comedian Marlon Wayans will be performing Friday and Saturday at the Pittsburgh Improv at the Waterfront in Homestead.

Wayans starred for two seasons on the NBC sitcom “Marlon.” His most recent work is the Netflix movie “Sextuplets,” which tells the story of Alan (Wayans), a man embarking on a personal journey to meet his birth mother before the arrival of his first child.

Love is love

The LGBTQIA+ Love is Love Wedding Expo is Sunday at Nova Place on the North Side. Produced by Divine Celebrations, it features LGBT-friendly wedding vendors. Part of the proceeds benefits PGH Equality Center, which supports gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals and their families in Western Pennsylvania.

Be scared

Fright Up Night is Saturday in Market Square, part of the final Night Market of the season. Area restaurants will have live music. Drink specials abound. There will be face painting and costume contests between 7 and 8:30 p.m, with winners announced at 9 p.m.

Giselle ballet

To open its 50th anniversary season, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre presents “Giselle” Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Benedum Center, Downtown. It is also the final season for longtime artistic director Terrence Orr.
