Allegheny County reports 138 new coronavirus cases, 1 new death

Allegheny County Health Department officials reported 138 new covid-19 cases Sunday and one new death.

The department said the most recently reported death is a 82-year-old person, who died on Saturday.

The death total now stands at 208 with 196 confirmed as covid-19 cases and 12 probable. All deaths are of people ranging in age from 23-103, with 84 being the median age of those who have died.

The total number of cases in Allegheny County stands at 6,263 (6,070 confirmed cases and 193 probable cases). In the newest cases, ages range from 11 months to 93 years old with the median age being 40.

Additionally, there are 508 past or present hospitalizations, with one new hospitalization reported Sunday.

According to the county data, there have been 3,277 estimated recoveries.

Females account for a slight majority of cases with 54% of cases.

Correction: The county intitally released the wrong date for the most recent death.
