Thousands of people are expected to stroll and bike through Pittsburgh’s Downtown, Uptown and South Side neighborhoods on Sunday during Bike Pittsburgh’s popular OpenStreetsPGH program.

Bike Pittsburgh said drivers should expect road closures in all three neighborhoods from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The 10th Street Bridge and Armstrong Tunnel will be closed. On the Birmingham Bridge, the southbound lanes will be reserved for Open Streets, while the northbound lanes are converted to car traffic in both directions.

Traffic will also be banned during the same hours on Forbes Avenue from Market Street to the Birmingham Bridge; and on East Carson Street from the Birmingham Bridge to 10th Street.

Cars parked along the route must be moved by 3 a.m. Sunday. All cars left on the street will be towed. Port Authority of Allegheny County bus riders can find a schedule of detours on the authority’s website.

The OpenStreets route, program hubs and 11 cross streets open to traffic can be found here.
