Pittsburgh police say one man was killed and another critically injured after a shooting early Sunday in the Brighton Heights neighborhood.

Police said they responded to multiple Shotspotter alerts for the 1200 block of Woods Run Avenue around 1:45 a.m.

Responding Zone 1 officers and paramedics were directed to a man with a gunshot wound to the chest. Medics transported the victim to a hospital in critical condition, but he later died of his injuries.

Officers were notified of a second gunshot wound victim who arrived at a nearby hospital by private vehicle. That victim was last listed in critical condition, police said.

No other information was available, but police are continuing their investigation.
