The weather couldn’t scare away the crowds of children for Pine’s first Halloween Spooktacular on Oct. 19.
Because of the inclement weather, the festivities moved indoors to the Pine Community Center.
Nearly 300 children filled the community center. Kids could decorate their own pumpkins, enjoy a magic show and collect candy.
“We were so excited to debut our first-ever Halloween Spooktacular and welcome nearly 300 kids for a fun-filled fall afternoon. This event was a new take for the township — moving beyond our usual Trunk-or-Treat — and it was amazing to see families, staff and local partners come together to create such a vibrant, community-centered celebration,” said Gina Kampi, recreation program coordinator for the township.
The supervisors expressed their gratitude to the community for the success of the newest Halloween celebration.
“Events like the Halloween Spooktacular remind us how strong our community spirit is. It takes collaboration across every part of our township — from local businesses and community groups to dedicated volunteers — to bring this celebration to life,” said Ryan Colombo, chairman of the board of supervisors. “Seeing families come together to enjoy the festivities is what makes it all worthwhile, and we truly appreciate everyone’s efforts and enthusiasm.”
