Pine-Richland Youth Center welcomes new executive director

Nick Guido has been hired as the Pine-Richland Youth Center’s new executive director. His predecessor, Larry Bracco, retired in January after 30 years of service.

“It’s been an honor and privilege to serve the Pine-Richland community and surrounding areas for over 30 years. I look forward to helping Nick lead the next generation of children, youth, and families,” Bracco said about the transition.

A Richland resident since 2001, Guido has been involved in the community for many years as the president of the Pine-Richland Baseball and Softball Association. He has a background in financial and business management.

“A PRBSA board member approached me to see if I would have any interest in joining the PRYC team because of my professional background and my involvement in the community, and I said yes,” Guido explained.

Guido was inducted into the Pine-Richland Youth Center on Jan. 25. The PRYC board of directors expressed their gratitude to Bracco for his dedicated service and welcomed Guido with open arms.

“The most exciting thing for me is serving the community and building on the youth center’s long history of success,” Guido said about his new role.

The center is a privately supported nonprofit organization located in Richland, devoted to serving the community through recreational and educational programs for all ages.

“The youth center is a vital part of the community. The center has been around for a long time, and it’s so important because it’s a place for everyone. We want to be able to act as a safe place for people of all ages and for every member of the community to have at least one program that caters to them,” Guido said.

Patrons of the PRYC can expect to see the same programming they know and love, as well as some new activities and events.

“Following in the footsteps of Larry, who worked tirelessly to establish programs that serve the community’s needs, I am confident that I will grow the existing programs and implement new and exciting opportunities for all members of our community with the support of the extraordinary board of directors,” Guido said. “I look forward to hearing from community members about what they desire from their community center and balance that into the plans for the new and improved PRYC.”
