Ram Fam pep rally part of homecoming festivities
The Pine Athletic Complex in Pine Community Park was packed on Sept. 17 for the Pine Richland Rams Homecoming Volunteer Committee’s pep rally, Ram Fam. The event featured a parade, food trucks and a bonfire. The festival on the field showcased local organizations and sports teams running games and activities for the public and offering raffles and prize options.
The parade kicked off at Pine Richland High School. Principal Frank Hernandez served as grand marshal. Spirits were high as the Pine Richland cheerleaders, football players and the marching band processed through the park. The marching band also played and danced during the bonfire later in the evening.
Rams fans had many delicious options with Hummus Pittsburgh, Big Lou’s, Lucia’s Hot Dogs, Fudge Farm, Foxy Fran’s, and Sweet Pea’s Sweet Treats in attendance.
“The event was an amazing show of community support and Pine-Richland pride. Spending a day filled with activities, energy, music, food trucks, a parade and bonfire while also getting to spend time with a ton of friends and family from the community — that’s living,” said homecoming committee organizer Becki Stokes.
The Pine-Richland Rams beat the Fox Chapel Foxes 50-0 on Sept. 22.
