A number of different food vendors attended Pine Township’s Community Day in 2019. This year’s event is July 15.

An annual tradition, Pine Township will hold its annual Community Day on July 15 from 4-9 p.m. at Pine Community Park. Pine residents will be able to enjoy food from local vendors, live music and activities for all ages.

The Boy Scouts will be present for the grand opening ceremony. Wild World Animals will have an animal presentation on the main stage. Casanova and the Divas will be performing live music on the main stage starting at 6:30 p.m.

Classic activities like the pie and watermelon eating contests will be back this year. This year’s Battle of the Barrel with the Wexford Volunteer Fire Department will take place at 7:30 p.m.

Bounce houses and inflatables like the Eurobungy and the rock wall will be available to the public at no charge.

New this year, residents can purchase plates in a raffle to win the grand prize valued at $2,000, including an Echelon Connect EX-3 bike, a one-year Pine Community Center family membership and more. Purchased plates will be assigned a ticket number and randomly placed on the Pony Field. At 7 p.m., a skydiver will jump from a plane and land on the winning plate on the Pony Field. Hourly raffle drawings will also start at 5 p.m. with four chances to win raffle baskets valued at $600.

“I’m excited to see the skydiving expedition. I think we have a lot of great stuff for the community to enjoy this year,” township manager Jason Kratsas said.

The night’s festivities will conclude with a fireworks display by Pyrotecnico at 9:30 p.m.
