Fans of “Bridgerton” and “Sanditon” flocked to Northern Tier Regional Library for a regency tea party on Sept. 23.

Tea sandwiches, cookies, pastries and varietal teas were served as patrons took part in regency trivia and games. The lineup included raffles, music and prizes.

“It was so much fun for all ages. We had people dressed in regency era garb, we played lots of games that people got into, and we just had a great afternoon,” Northern Tier Library director Diane Illis said.

The event was part of Northern Tier’s Love Your Library fundraising in September. It raised $850, plus a prorated match from the Buncher Foundation, which provides grants to the Allegheny County Library Association. All the libraries in the county host fundraisers in September and based on how much the libraries bring in with their fundraisers, the libraries receive a prorated match from The Buncher Foundation.

“We are very grateful to the Buncher Foundation for their contributions to the libraries here in Allegheny County. People got to have fun at the tea, donate to the library, and then we got a little extra,” Illis said.
