Trafford plans holiday events on Dec. 7

Trafford Borough will hold a holiday celebration with a parade and visit by Santa Claus on Dec. 7.

Christmas carols will be sung from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the borough building at 414 Brinton Ave

A parade in downtown Trafford will follow, beginning in the Haymaker Village parking lot at 6:15 p.m. There will be a “candy throw zone” during the parade.

The community Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held at 6:45 p.m. Pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus for children age 16 and younger will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. in Manchester Room, 414 Brinton AVe. Rear, where there will be light refreshments served and music.

The Holiday Happenings Committee is seeking cookie donations to serve after the parade. Those interested in baking or buying cookies should email: traffordholidayhappenings@gmail.com. The cookies can be dropped off at the Manchester Room at 10 a.m. Dec. 7 or starting at 4 p.m. Dec. 7.
