Air Force Staff Sgt. Valerie Graw, 27, of Harrison City, was named the 2020 Airman of the Year for 88th Air Base Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio.
Graw, a member of the 88th Communications Squadron, is serving as a supervisor of client systems from a deployed location in Southwest Asia. She was one of five nominees in her category. She then competed in the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s annual awards and won AFLCMC Airman of the Year there.
A 2012 Penn-Trafford High School graduate and 2016 Point Park University graduate, Graw earned staff sergeant’s stripes while deployed.
