A Stowe man faces charges after police said he fired several shots inside a Penn Hills home while his three children were present.

Police said Bernard Davis-Durham, 28, was intoxicated when he showed up at his ex-partner’s home Sunday night. When the woman asked Davis-Durham to leave, she told police he became angry and choked her.

He then took a revolver out of his backpack and threatened to kill the woman, according to police. He fired two shots into the floor and two shots into the living room, where the pair’s three children — all under the age of 6 — were located.

No one was shot during the incident.

Davis-Durham fled on foot. Police apprehended him several minutes later near the residence.

He is charged with child endangerment, aggravated harassment and prohibited possession of a firearm, among other charges.

He was denied bail and taken to Allegheny County Jail.
