Allegheny County Police are investigating a stabbing in Penn Hills that left a teenager in critical condition Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called about 4:40 p.m. to the 1100 block of Hamil Road, where they located a teenage male who had been stabbed multiple times. He was taken to an area hospital and is in critical but stable condition, according to police.

Police said the suspect fled the scene in a vehicle but was involved in a crash a few minutes later, and was located shortly afterward. County police are working with the District Attorney’s Office to determine the appropriate charges.

Police did not immediately identify the victim or suspect.
