Penn Hills School District officials recently announced new administrative hires.

They include assistant superintendent Dawn Golden; high school associate principal for academic achievement Meghan Murray; high school associate principal for student conduct Jah-Chant Robinson; and elementary associate principal Chris Cence.

“With the arrival of these four energetic, well-qualified educators, Penn Hills students will remain in good hands for years to come,” said superintendent Nancy Hines via news release.

Officials said Golden, whose salary is $125,000, has extensive experience working in K-12 education, starting as a school counselor at Duquesne City School District. She went on to hold numerous administrative roles at Ringgold and Wilkinsburg school districts before landing at Woodland Hills, where she ultimately served as director of pupil services prior to joining Penn Hills.

Murray first began her educational career in Florida before joining Pittsburgh Public Schools in 2011.

In 2015, she joined the administrative team at Beaver High School, her alma mater, where she served as assistant principal and principal. She was most previously with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, where she served as coordinator for comprehensive school improvement.

Murray will make $109,000 annually.

Officials said Robinson has been passionate about education since her undergraduate years at Carlow University. After graduating, she joined the faculty at Propel Schools and later taught at her alma mater, McKeesport Area School District. In her new role, Robinson will seek to resolve discipline matters through restorative practices.

Her salary is $80,000.

Cence is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania and has focused on all areas of learning, from teaching at elementary grade levels to observing educators as part of their teacher performance assessments. Cence most recently taught third and fourth grades at Cambria Heights School District.

Cence’s salary is $80,000.
