No injuries reported in Penn Hills house fire
Emergency services were called to a fire Wednesday night at a home along Michigan Road in Penn Hills.
According to TribLive news partner WTAE, crews were called to the scene around 9 p.m. and encountered flames on the second floor.
No injuries were reported.
Vitalant hosts donation incentives at Pittsburgh area blood drives
To kick off National Blood Donor month, Vitalant has announced more than 40 blood drives taking place throughout the Pittsburgh area.
The nonprofit’s communications manager Maya Santana said seasonal illnesses, inclement weather and busy schedules in the winter months bring challenges to maintaining a stable blood supply.
To motivate more donations, Vitalant is hosting multiple giveaways throughout the month.
Those who donate before Jan. 7 will receive a ’90s-themed T-shirt along with a $15 gift card in Vitalant’s Donor Rewards program.
Those who donate between Jan. 8 and the end of the month will be entered into the Thrive in ’25 giveaway where three people will win a prepaid $10,000 gift card.
