Penn Hills house fire displaces family

A family was left without a home over the weekend after a fire Sunday morning in Penn Hills.

According to a Facebook post from the Penn Hills Volunteer Fire Department, multiple crews were called to a home on the 1100 block of Jodie Lane just before 2:30 a.m.

The interior of the home quickly deteriorated, the post said. Crews had the flames out in about an hour.

There were no injuries reported to the residents.

Firefighters rescued several pets from the building and returned them to their owners.
