District court: Drug, DUI charges among those handled in Judge DeLuca’s Penn Hills court Aug. 2 and Aug. 9, 2021

Penn Hills District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca handled the following cases recently. Defendants will have court dates set in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Charges were filed by Penn Hills police.

Held for court

• Hunter Eshenbaugh, 22, of Penn Hills on charges of recklessly endangering another person, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and two counts of endangering the welfare of children. Charges were filed July 9.

• Andre Smith-Egizio, 20, of Penn Hills on charges of indecent assault without consent of other, corruption of minors, unlawful contact with minor, endangering the welfare of children and indecent assault on a person less than 16 years of age. Charges were filed July 14.

Waived preliminary hearings

• Jacob Balcer, 22, of South Park on charges of driving under the influence, disorderly conduct and reckless driving. Charges were filed Jan. 9.
