Criminal mischief, firearms, theft charges among those handled in Judge DeLuca’s Penn Hills court April 26, 2021

Penn Hills District Judge Anthony L. DeLuca handled the following cases April 26, 2021. Defendants will have court dates set in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court. Charges were filed by Penn Hills police unless otherwise noted.

Held for court

• Alvin McGhie, 33, of Pittsburgh on charges of fleeing or attempting to elude officer, failure to stop at red signal, improper pass, failure to perform duties at stop sign, careless driving and reckless driving. Charges were filed May 20.

• Robert Evans, 49, of Penn Hills on charges of simple assault and strangulation. Charges were filed July 27.

• Shaquaii Burgwin, 28, of Pittsburgh on charges of criminal mischief. Charges were filed Oct. 26.

• Michael Lagrotteria, 30, of Penn Hills on charges of firearms not to be carried without a license, criminal trespass and public drunkenness. Charges were filed April 14.

Waived preliminary hearings

• Zachary Rogowski, 21, of Verona on charges of burglary, criminal conspiracy, two counts of receiving stolen property and three counts of theft by unlawful taking. Allegheny County police filed the charges Jan. 10, 2020.

• James Caldwell, 27, of Verona on charges of burglary, criminal mischief, receiving stolen property and three counts of theft by unlawful taking. Allegheny County police filed the charges Jan. 10, 2020.
