Pedestrian in critical condition after being struck in Strip District

A man is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle in Pittsburgh’s Strip District late Wednesday night.

Police said officers from Zone 2 were called to Liberty Avenue and 21st Street around 11:30 p.m..

Investigators said the man was walking in front of a stopped Port Authority bus when he was struck by a passing vehicle. The driver stayed at the scene to cooperate with the investigation, police said.

Additional information was not immediately available.
