Irwin to hold Easter egg hunt

The annual Easter egg hunt in downtown Irwin for children ages 2 through 12 will be held April 4-8.

Each child can collect only one egg in the hunt. There is no prior registration required. The person finding the “golden egg” wins the grand prize.

Those finding an egg must present it and the slip of paper inside at the Irwin Borough office, 424 Main St.

A proof of residency within the North Huntingdon, Irwin and North Irwin area is required to claim a prize.

Those who see an egg, but are not playing the game, are asked not to move it.

All unclaimed eggs and prizes belong to Irwin Borough, which is sponsoring the event.

For those who cannot go to the borough office when it is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., call 724- 864-3100 to make arrangements to claim the prize.

Norwin area Democrats to meet

Democratic lieutenant gubernatorial candidate Austin Davis of McKeesport and congressional candidate for District 12 Jerry Dickerson of Pittsburgh, are scheduled to meet with Norwin Area Democrats at the organization’s meeting at 6 p.m. April 6 at the Norwin Public Library community room, Caruthers Lane, Irwin.

All Democrats are welcome.
